Plans and pricing
Updated
Embrly has four plans. They differ by how many people you're covering, not by how much of the product you get — the capture flow, captions, your public page and Discover are in every tier.
The number to hold onto is the per-chair price, because that's how the plans are built: a base price that covers a set number of chairs, plus a flat rate for each chair after that. Every salon plan works out to $25 or less per stylist a month, and it falls as the team grows — under a dollar a day per chair on every tier.
| Plan | Per chair, per month | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Solo | $29 | One chair — you |
| Salon Lite | $24.50 | $49 covers 2 chairs, +$25 each after |
| Salon Pro | $19.90 | $199 covers 10 chairs, +$15 each after |
| Salon Scale | $17.45, falling to $13.73 at 40 | $349 covers 20 chairs, +$10 each after |
The pricing page has a Per chair / Per salon toggle if you want to see the plan totals side by side instead.

The four plans
Solo — $29 a month, or $299 a year. One seat, yours. Built for booth renters, suite owners, and stylists between salons. You get the whole engine sized for one chair: before/after capture with client consent, AI captions in your voice, your public page and share cards, view and booking-click analytics, opt-in listing on Discover, and your Gems.
Salon Lite — $24.50 per chair ($49 a month for two seats, then $25 a month per extra seat, up to seven). Monthly only — there's no annual option on Lite. It's for the small shop: everything in Solo for every stylist, plus the layer that keeps a team moving together — weekly themes and the theme library, the Wins feed, kudos and the leaderboard, the owner dashboard and Monday digest, the nudge engine, and QR invites with team management. Lite and Pro have exactly the same features; the only difference is how the seats are priced. (Multi-location stays on Salon Scale.)
Salon Pro — $19.90 per chair ($199 a month for ten seats, or $1,999 a year; then $15 a month per extra seat). Feature-identical to Lite, priced for a full floor.
Salon Scale — $17.45 per chair ($349 a month for twenty seats, or $3,499 a year; then $10 a month per extra seat — so 30 chairs is $14.97 each and 40 is $13.73). Salon Scale is for multi-location brands. Every location sits under one login and one bill, with a salon switcher, an all-locations dashboard, theme broadcast across locations, and a brand-wide leaderboard. Seats are deduped: a stylist who works two of your locations counts once, and so do you.
Annual billing saves 14–16% on the tiers that offer it. Extra seats always bill monthly, even on an annual base plan.
Choosing
The pricing page has a seat slider: drag it to your team size and it shows the tier that fits, the per-chair price, and the monthly total. If you'd rather do the arithmetic yourself, the cheapest tier by head count is:
- 1 person — Solo.
- 2 to 7 people — Salon Lite. Two seats for $49, then $25 each.
- 8 to 19 people — Salon Pro. At 8 seats Lite costs $199, the same as Pro — and Pro includes ten seats with cheaper $15 extras, so 8 is the natural place to move up.
- 20 or more, or more than one location — Salon Scale.
A few things that catch people out:
- A seat is a person, owner included — ten seats is ten people, not ten stylists plus a free you. See Seats and team management.
- More than one location under one brand? Salon Scale, whatever your head count. A location that belongs to a group can't buy Lite or Pro on its own; the group buys once and every location draws on the shared pool. See Multi-location salons.
- Managing six or more locations? The Billing panel has a "Let's talk" link for that — email us and we'll size it with you.
You can move between plans later from the billing portal, so pick for the team you have now rather than the one you're planning.
Your trial
New salons and new solo stylists start on a founding trial — free, no card required. The clock starts when you tell Embrly what you are (creating a salon, or turning on solo), not at signup, and Settings shows exactly how long is left. Stylists on a team have no clock at all: the salon covers your seat.
When a trial ends, nothing is taken away. Your looks, clients, page and settings all stay exactly where they are and stay visible — you just can't start new work (capturing, importing past work, generating captions, publishing a page for the first time) until you choose a plan.
AI assists
Every plan includes the same monthly allowance, so the tier you pick doesn't change how much AI you get:
- A stylist on a paid seat gets 100 AI assists a month, funded by the plan.
- Anything you post as My own, and anything you do without a seat, draws on a separate 20 a month.
Captions and Coach this shot share one pool — a coach call and a caption call both spend one assist. The counter refreshes on the 1st. When it runs out everything still works; you just write the caption yourself. There's no add-on to buy more.
Plans are bought and changed on the web only — see Billing and subscriptions.
