For salons, stylists & the people in their chairs

Great hair deserves an audience.

Embrly turns the work happening in your chairs into a following — and turns that following into bookings. The whole team posting, on theme, every week, from their own accounts.

The weekly rhythm

From a finished client
to a posted look, in three taps.

The salon sets the theme. Stylists capture and caption. One tap hands it to Instagram — from the stylist’s own phone, on the stylist’s own account.

Step one

The salon sets the theme

One weekly theme — “Golden hour blondes,” “Holiday party hair” — with a hashtag pack and post ideas. Pick from the library or write your own.

Step two

Stylists capture & caption

Before-and-after capture with ghost-overlay alignment, client consent in one tap, and AI captions written in each stylist’s own voice.

Step three

One tap to Instagram

Straight to the stylist’s own account through the native share sheet. Streaks, kudos, and a team Wins feed keep the momentum warm.

Everything the room needs

Built around the before-and-after, not bolted onto a generic camera.

Three acts: the weekly loop, the momentum that keeps a team posting, and the pages where the work turns into clients. Tap a card for the story; scroll on for the full chapters.

Weekly themes

One theme a week is all the planning you need

The whole team posting different things is noise; the whole team posting on one theme is a brand. Set it once a week and the app carries it to every chair.

  • A library that does the thinking

Seasonal and evergreen themes come pre-written — brief, hashtag pack, and per-post ideas. Apply one in two taps or write your own.

  • Every stylist sees the same brief

The current theme sits on every stylist’s home screen with ideas they can act on between clients.

  • Broadcast across locations

Multi-location brands can set one theme for every location at once — or let each location run its own.

AI captions & photo coach

Captions in your voice, not a robot’s

The blank caption box is where most posts die — and a rushed photo undersells great work. Embrly writes the caption in your voice, and coaches the shot before it goes out.

  • Voice-matched from day one

Paste a few of your real captions during onboarding; every generated caption after that matches your tone, your slang, your emoji — tweak, regenerate, or copy it straight to the clipboard.

  • A photo coach in your pocket

Before you post, the coach reads your shot and gives two or three specific fixes — “turn the chair toward the window,” not “improve lighting.”

  • Theme- and service-aware

Captions reference the week’s theme and the look you tagged — never generic “new hair, who dis” filler.

Posting

One tap to Instagram — no passwords, ever

Embrly hands the finished post to the Instagram app on the stylist’s own phone. Their account stays theirs — we never ask for credentials, and we never post without them.

  • The native share sheet

Composite before/after image plus caption on the clipboard, straight into Instagram. Works with any account — personal or professional.

  • “Posted?” keeps the streak honest

A one-tap self-report marks the week done and feeds streaks and the owner dashboard.

  • Verified posting, coming

An official Instagram connection (via Instagram login, opt-in) will verify posts automatically. “Not connected” stays a first-class choice forever.

Act two — momentum

What keeps a team actually posting

Recognition over pressure: the feed, the streaks, and the dashboard that never nags.

05 / 10
Wins feed & kudos

Momentum is a team sport

Every shared look lands in the salon’s Wins feed, where teammates react and owners give kudos. Recognition — not pressure — is what keeps a posting habit alive.

  • The Wins feed

A private, salon-only feed of everyone’s latest work. Kudos from teammates, kudos from the owner.

  • Kudos that land somewhere

Kudos show up in each stylist’s activity inbox — a bell on the home screen with an unread badge, so appreciation never goes unseen.

  • Public kudos on Discover

Stylists who opt into Discover collect public kudos from the wider community too — one per person, real accounts only.

Streaks & badges

A game layer that’s warm, not corporate

Streaks, badges, and a monthly leaderboard rank participation — never follower counts. Showing up is the metric, because showing up is what grows an account.

  • Weekly streaks

Post on theme, keep the flame alive. Streaks are per-salon, so a stylist who floats between locations builds each one honestly.

  • Badges that mean something

First light, Full picture, Season, Crown — earned through consistency. A 12-week streak says more to a hiring salon than 10k followers.

  • Monthly leaderboard

A fresh race every month so January’s champion doesn’t own the board in July. Multi-location brands get a brand-wide board too.

Owner dashboard

Visibility without the nagging

You can’t control your stylists’ personal accounts — and you shouldn’t have to. The dashboard shows you the pulse; the app handles the reminders.

  • Participation at a glance

Who posted this week, current streaks, kudos given, and the top look — one screen, updated live, plus a Monday-morning digest so the week starts without chasing anyone.

  • Nudges the app sends, not you

Reminders are app-voiced (“You haven’t posted this week — here’s a 30-second idea”), arrive at most once a week per kind, and respect quiet hours and each stylist’s preferences. You never play bad cop.

  • Boundaries by design

Owners see shared work and participation — never a stylist’s private captures or unconsented photos. That line is enforced in the database, not by policy. Stylists join by scanning a QR code at the front desk; revoke any invite, any time.

08 / 10
Multi-location

Every location, one login

Own more than one salon? Add locations from the app and run the whole brand without juggling accounts — while each location keeps its own team, themes, and energy.

  • The salon switcher

One tap moves you between locations. Stylists who work Tuesdays here and weekends there get the same switcher — one account, every chair they work.

  • The group pulse

Participation, posts this week, and the top look for every location, side by side — plus a brand-wide leaderboard.

  • Theme broadcast

Set one theme for every location at once, or let each location run its own. One bill for the whole brand; floating stylists are only counted once.

Public portfolio pages

Every stylist gets a page worth linking to

Every shared look builds a public portfolio at embrly.app/@yourname — a booking-ready page that belongs to the stylist, wherever their career goes.

  • Bio, services, socials, booking

Headshot, service list, Instagram/TikTok/website links, and a booking button — the link-in-bio that’s actually a portfolio.

  • Built for sharing

Every page gets a designed share card for texts and DMs, and looks grids filter by service tag.

  • Proof it’s working

Stylists see page views and booking-link clicks — the receipts that posting turns into clients.

Discover

Get discovered — on your terms

Discover is an opt-in showcase where clients and salons browse real transformations — searchable by specialty, ranked by consistency and kudos. Deliberately not another social network: no DMs, no follower counts, no algorithm chasing your attention.

Browse Discover
  • Filter by specialty

Service tags roll up into filterable specialties. A client hunting a curly specialist can actually find one — try that on Instagram.

  • Verified work history

A stylist’s salon affiliation comes from real membership — never typed in. “ShearSpark · 2026–present” is a résumé line nobody can fake, and it stays as a dated history when they move on.

  • Opt-in, gated, moderated — for salons too

Nothing is public until you flip the switch, stylists land on Discover automatically after three consented looks, and every public page has a report button. Discoverable salons get a live culture page — roster, team work, posting energy — that recruits clients and talent alike.

Pricing

Simple tiers, priced by the chair.

Every salon plan works out to $25 or less per stylist a month, and most land under $20 — under a dollar a day per chair, with every stylist on the full app. Bigger rooms get seats bundled and a flat rate per extra chair. Slide to find your room.

Independent? Solo is the same engine sized for one chair — and if you join a salon later, or leave one, your work and page come with you.

Annual billing saves 14–16%. Extra seats always bill monthly.

The break-evens

The ladder is built so the next rung pays for itself.

Salon Lite climbs $25 a chair until, at the 8th, it costs exactly what Salon Pro costs — so Pro takes over with two seats already spare. Salon Pro then climbs $15 a chair until, at the 20th, it costs exactly what Salon Scale costs — and from the 21st on, Scale is cheaper every single month with cheaper seats besides ($10 instead of $15). You never pay a penalty for growing, and you don’t need a second location to move up: one big room qualifies, and the multi-location layer is simply there when you open the next one.

Questions, answered

Everything owners & stylists ask us

Does Embrly post to Instagram for us?

No — and that’s deliberate. Embrly prepares the post (composite image, caption in your voice) and hands it to the Instagram app on the stylist’s own phone through the native share sheet. The stylist taps share; the post comes from them. An optional verified connection through Instagram’s official login is coming, and it will always be opt-in.

Do you need our Instagram passwords?

Never. We don’t ask for credentials, store them, or want them. Stylists’ accounts stay entirely theirs — it’s one of our founding promises, and the architecture makes it true.

Do stylists need a business or creator Instagram account?

Not for posting — the share sheet works with any account, personal included. The future verified-posting mode uses Instagram’s official connection, which Instagram only offers for professional (business or creator) accounts; the app includes a walkthrough for switching, which is free and takes about a minute.

Can owners see everything stylists capture?

No. Owners see shared work and participation — who posted, streaks, the Wins feed. Private captures and photos without client consent are never visible to anyone but the stylist. This boundary is enforced at the database level, not by an honor system.

What happens when a stylist leaves the salon?

Their captures and portfolio go with them — content belongs to the stylist, always. The salon keeps its themes, dashboard, and history. On Discover, the affiliation converts to a dated work-history entry (“Salon X · 2024–2026”), verified because it came from real membership.

How does client photo consent work?

Consent is captured in one tap at photo time and recorded. A look with a client in it can’t be shared or published without consent — it stays private to the stylist. The one exception is product shots, where nobody is in frame and there is no client to ask.

Will my team get spammed with notifications?

No. Each kind of nudge arrives at most once a week per stylist — the theme launch, the midweek idea, the streak check — plus their own Daily Focus on mornings they’ve planned. Quiet hours and days off always win, every stylist can tune their days or opt out, and reminders are written in the app’s voice — encouraging, never guilt-tripping — so they never come from the owner. Everything runs on the salon’s clock, not a server’s, so a Sunday-night post counts for the week it was posted in.

Is my page on Discover automatically?

Not until you have earned it. Your page is private until you publish it. Once published, stylists land on Discover automatically after three consented looks (a quality floor, not a paywall) — and can switch it off any time. Salons flip their own switch. There are no DMs and a report button on every public page.

We have multiple locations — how does that work?

Add locations from the app. You get one login with a switcher, a side-by-side pulse of every location, optional theme broadcast, and a brand leaderboard. Stylists who float between locations use one account, and billing counts each person once across the whole group.

I’m independent — no salon. Is Embrly for me?

Yes. The Solo tier is the same engine without the team layer: capture, AI captions, your public portfolio and booking link, Discover discovery, streaks. And if you join a salon later — or leave one — your work and page come with you.

What platforms does it run on?

iPhone and Android, with the portfolio and Discover pages on the web for anyone to browse. Currently in closed beta with our founding salons.

What about TikTok?

On the roadmap. Instagram is where salon discovery lives today, so it’s where v1 ships — TikTok sharing is planned as a fast follow.

If you can scroll Instagram, you can use Embrly.
