The Embrly mobile app

Embrly is two surfaces that share one account: a phone app for the work that happens at the chair, and embrly.app for the work that happens at a desk. This article covers getting the app, signing in, and knowing which one to open.

Getting the app

Android — closed beta on Google Play. The Android app is in a closed test track, so you need an invitation before it will appear for you.

Tell us which Google account your phone's Play Store is signed in to, so we can add you to the tester list.
On that phone, open the opt-in link https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.ignitecfogroup.embrly and tap Become a tester.
Follow the "download it on Google Play" link on that page and install.
Open Embrly and sign in with your email.

If you installed the earlier direct download (the `.apk`), uninstall it first — hold the Embrly icon, tap App info, then Uninstall. Your account, salon, and every look you have captured live in the cloud, so nothing is lost.

iPhone and iPad — beta on TestFlight. The iOS app is in beta through Apple's TestFlight.

On your iPhone or iPad, install TestFlight from the App Store if you don't already have it.
Open the invitation link testflight.apple.com/join/K8xe4Jdx and tap Accept, then Install.
Open Embrly from TestFlight (or your home screen) and sign in with your email.

TestFlight builds update themselves; TestFlight will let you know when a new one is ready.

Everything on embrly.app also works in any phone browser, including your dashboard and your public page.

Signing in

Embrly has no passwords. You enter your email, and a sign-in link arrives in your inbox.

Open the email on the same phone you are signing in on, and tap the link. It should drop you straight into the app, signed in.
Signing in on a computer at embrly.app works the same way. If the link is awkward, use the Got a code instead? Enter it option and type the six-digit code from the same email.
If the link says it has expired or was already used, request a fresh one and tap it promptly. Some mail apps preview links in a way that spends a one-time link before you get to it — the six-digit code is immune to this.
Sign-in emails are rate limited. If you are onboarding a whole team in one sitting, space it out rather than requesting a dozen links back to back.

Your first sign-in in the app is also where your account is created and where you say whether you own a salon or work in one.

Updates arrive on their own

You do not have to reinstall Embrly to get changes. Most updates are delivered over the air — you get them the next time you open the app, without visiting a store. Larger changes that touch the app's underlying build ship as a new version through Play, which installs automatically too. Being asked to install a build by hand is the exception, not the routine.

The owner and manager dashboard — weekly numbers, participation, per-stylist activity
Planning weekly themes ahead and broadcasting them across locations
Your profile: bio, services, socials, city, products, avatar, work history, and the toggles that publish your page and list you on Discover
Salon settings: slug, city, socials, logo, header, visibility
Team roster — inviting, roles, removing
Client notes management
Seat adjustments and the billing portal for web-billed plans. (Buying a plan works in both places: the app subscribes through the App Store or Google Play — US accounts can also choose web checkout — and store-billed plans are managed in your phone's subscription settings.)
