Seats, plans, and adding your team
Updated
Every salon plan includes a set number of seats — one seat per active team member. This article covers what's included, how to add more without jumping to a bigger plan, and what happens when someone tries to join a full team.
What each plan includes
| Plan | Seats included | Extra seats |
|---|---|---|
| Solo | Just you | — (upgrade to a salon plan to add a team) |
| Salon Lite | 2 | $25/month each, up to 7 seats total |
| Salon Pro | 10 | $15/month each |
| Salon Scale | 20 | $10/month each |
You don't have to move up a plan to grow by a chair or two — a Lite salon with four stylists is just Lite plus two seats. At 8 chairs, Lite would cost exactly what Pro does, so Lite stops at 7 and Salon Pro takes over — with 10 seats included, so you move up with room to spare.
Adding a seat
Seats are managed from your web dashboard — sign in at embrly.app and open Settings. The seat control shows your current count, the per-seat price on your plan, and the exact prorated amount for the rest of the current billing period before you confirm anything.
A new seat takes effect immediately. There's no waiting on a billing cycle — the moment you add it, the next teammate can join.
When a teammate can't join
If someone scans your invite code while every seat is full, they'll see "This salon has no open seats," and Embrly emails you — the owner — so you know it happened even if you're mid-client. Add a seat from the dashboard, then have them scan the same code again; invite codes stay good for 14 days and cover the whole team.
Removing someone
Removing a team member frees their seat right away, and you can lower your seat count from the same dashboard control. The current month stays as paid — there's no refund or credit for it — and your next renewal bills the lower count.
